The Spring Festival

春节

Chinese New Year is one of the biggest festivals in China. We call it the Spring Festival. It is in late January or early February. The holiday is just one week, but there is so much to do!

中国新年是中国最大的节日之一，我们称之为春节。它一般在一月底或者二月初。假期只有一周，但是有很多事情要做。

At the Spring Festival, people always visit their family and have big meals. There are many kinds of lucky food: dumplings, rice cakes, spring rolls and yuanxiao. They are so good!

春节时，人们会走亲戚，吃大餐。幸运食品种类繁多，如：饺子，米糕，春卷和元宵。它们都很美味！

Kids can wear new clothes. They can eat lots of candies. They can watch the Lion and Dragon Dance in the street. They can play with colourful fireworks.

They can get lucky money from their grandparents and parents. Kids always get excited for this special festival!
