Fred is a postman. He is a happy man. He loves his job very much.

弗雷德是一名邮递员。他是个快乐的人。他非常喜欢他的工作。

Every day, Fred rides a bike with a postbag from one house to another.

每天，弗雷德骑着自行车，带着邮包从一家转到另一家。

He sends letters and parcels to people on time. Everybody likes him.

他按时给人们寄信件和包裹。每个人都喜欢他。

One day, Fred sent a letter to an old man. He came to the gate and rang the bell. But there was no answer. He rang the bell again, still there was no answer.

一天，弗雷德给一位老人送一封信。他来到门口，按响了门铃。但是没有人回答。他又按了门铃，仍然没有人回答。

Fred tried to open the gate but a big dog ran to him. He was scared and threw the letter over the fence.

弗雷德试图打开大门，但一只大狗朝他跑来。他吓坏了，把信从围墙上面扔了进去。

This postman is better than me.

The dog picked up the letter with its mouth and carried it into the house.
